9am-12pm – OHS, Taste of Oregon & Wellness event – OAHS cookbook (Kelly Allen, contact).

6:30pm at museum, 3rd grade Boy Scouts, historic places in community (Jeff Yunke, contact) – JoAnn and Mary.

9:30am – Valentine history to Memory Care group of seniors and volunteers (Allison Koelsch, contact), Melanie – cancelled because of icy weather.

Annual meeting at Red Brick with Gary Gorman, speaker, about 35 attended.

Library focus group meeting (Melanie, Mary attended).

Concert event/fundraiser, Oregon-Brooklyn Am. Legion Post, OAHS will have WWI display and contribute raffle basket.

May 2019

May 4
12pm-3pm – Open house for photos and material in conj. With Greg Smith collecting material from early 70’s for Dorothy Marcic project. Ad will be in paper for event.

May 14 & 15
PVE 4th graders tours.

May 16
6pm – OAHS presentation at library (Kara Ripley, contact). Several of us presented a bit of Oregon history: schools (Mary), Steve Madsen, (JoAnn) Hallelujah Camp (Dixie), and troops through Oregon (Melanie).

Downtown walking tour with photo group (Mary).

Pie & Ice Cream Social at Waterman Park.

5pm-8pm – Night Out Event – G. Pehler will be at OAHS table, Lucy Jamison and Nina Young will dress in pioneer clothes, will have 2 display panels (one we have), plus one for loaning closet, give out flyers, pencils, and candy.

September 2019

Oregon Area Historical Society Board Member, Deana Zentner, gives a talk about
the early Rutland Center area and the restoration of the Rutland Center Church. Mark Hanson, active in the restoration of the churcht was present to provide first hand information and details of the project.

September 29
Cemetery tour at Rutland Cemetery (Dixie, JoAnn, Deana). Researching people, people to portray individuals.   Rutland charge = $250 (waived).

October 2019

1pm – Museum tour for photography group.

October 27
1:30pm – 2:30pm – Hosted author, Dorothy Marcic, “With One Shot…” murder of her uncle, Verne Stordock here in Oregon.

November 2019

Help with costumes for RCI “Wax Museum” students, Revolutionary war characters; event at RCI is Nov. 22nd.
