O. O. FORTON, dealer in dry goods, groceries, boots, shoes, clothing, etc. McFarland; was born in Norway in 1833 and in 1855 he emigrated to Dane Co., Wis., locating at Stoughton a short time; he then came to McFarland where he has since resided; he began merchandising in 1862 and has continued at this place since, carrying quite an extensive stock of goods in the lines above mentioned.He was married, in this village, in 1862, to Mary Olmstad, a native of Norway, who came to Dane Co., Wis. in 1858; they have five children-Anna S., Sarah O., Hannah M.
