Volunteer
The Oregon Area Historical Society is run by volunteers. We are forever grateful for the hard work and enthusiasm that our volunteers bring to the table each and everyday. We are a small historical society and do important work to collect and preserve the history of Oregon.
History Happened Here
Local history focuses on the stories and experiences of ordinary people, providing a glimpse into their daily lives and challenges. Local history reveals how national or global events were experienced in a particular location, offering a more nuanced and personal perspective. Studying local history helps individuals understand the history of their community, the lives of those who came before, and how that history has shaped the present.
Local historical societies document and preserve the cultural heritage and traditions of a community, ensuring they are not forgotten.

- Organize Military Uniforms: The Museum has several wardrobes full of military uniforms that need to be identified and organized.
