Ernest Hiram Tresch

Ernest TreschHrnest Hiram Tresch was born on a farm in Fleming Ohio in 1917.

On November 9, 1941 Ernie Tresch enlisted to the Army Air Corps. In 1945 Tresch received a call from General Eisenhower’s staff and became a pilot for him.

 

In 1948 Ernie left the service. He married Lydia Given in 1948 and the y had two daughters. Their home was in Marietta, Ohio. In 1963 Tresch and his family moved to Baltimore followed by a move in 1968 to Oregon, Wisconsin. In 1970 Tresch worked as a manager for Madion Silos Co.

AdvertisementIn 1977 Lydia died of cancer. Ernest was active in the People’s United Methodist Church. Ernest Tresch was also a crossing guard in Oregon from 1980-2005.

In 1988 Ernie and Anne Fluckinger of Oregon married.

On January 7, 2009, at the age of 91, Ernest passed away after a long and fulfilling life. Ernest Tresch will be remembered as one of our heroes next door.
