R.R., Oregon; born in Rensselaer Co., N.Y. in 1831; his father’s people were early settlers on the Holland Purchase, and his mother was of Dutchess Co., N.Y.; they came West in 1847, and still reside at Brodhead; the son our subject, was educated in the Ball Seminary, Hoosac Falls, N.Y.;
